Congratulations to Daniel Aukerman, M.D., Access Carroll’s Medical Director, for being recognized as the Physician of the Month by Carroll Hospital in May, 2017.
Dr. Daniel Aukerman began serving our community as a volunteer physician at Access Carroll in 2005. Shortly thereafter, he became the Medical Director for primary health care services. Over the past 12 years, he has continued to champion the vision of providing the highest quality health care to those most in need in Carroll County, Maryland. Today, Dr. Aukerman is the Medical Director for our expanded and integrated medical, dental, and behavioral health services. In addition to earning his medical degree from the University of New Mexico, he also received a master’s degree in public health from the University of Washington. Dr. Aukerman is board certified in Family Medicine and Addictions Medicine. He is fluent in German, English, and Spanish. As a Carroll County resident most of his life, he is passionate about our community and serves as both a health leader and strong advocate for improved access to health care.
